Macy’s brings in celebrities for latest marketing campaign

Macy's, which is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is one of the most famous department stores in the world. However, that doesn't stop the company from launching creative and large marketing campaigns, which is exactly what it has done with its latest initiative.

Rapaport News reports that Macy's has developed a fall television advertising campaign, titled 'What's in Store?,' consisting of short commercials which feature some of the most known celebrity faces, such as Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Donald Trump. The ads follow Harold, who is the new store manager at Macy's famous New York City location, and he is shown the ropes by Florence Henderson, better known as Carol Brady from The Brady Bunch. Company executives said the campaign was created to create awareness of the store's products and services.

"With What's in Store?, we are taking the next step in bringing the magic of Macy's closer to audiences everywhere as we collectively share in the remarkable and hilarious everyday situations that Harold and other store employees experience at the World's Largest Store," said Macy's chief marketing officer Martine Reardon in a statement.

The marketing initiative also includes online content, which will be featured on the company's social network pages as well as YouTube.
