International company taps Cleveland advertising firm for creative help

Edible Arrangements, a company based in Connecticut, is looking to a Cleveland advertising firm for help in designing its next marketing push. The company plans to launch a campaign with television, online and print components, it recently announced.

"Now is the time to make a true quantum leap forward as the clear leader in our category," said Steve Thomas, Edible Arrangements' chief marketing officer. "To accomplish that objective, we felt we needed to really evolve our creative efforts."

The company already has 1,098 stores in 15 countries, and has been commended by the franchise sector for many years.

Although ensuring the marketing materials are adequately and appropriately distributed across channels, including email, social media, display advertisement and via mobile, the design is also a vital aspect. However, that division of the industry is under pressure. Digital Arts online reports that a recent survey in the U.K. found that many creative professionals feel that agencies are giving away too much of their employees' work for free or for inadequate amounts of money.

"Everyone wants something for nothing, and without good reason," one freelancer told the researchers, as quoted by the news outlet.
