Columbus marketing agency helps promote home furnishings campaign

Two home furnishing groups have teamed up with a Columbus, Ohio-based marketing and advertising agency to run their latest sweepstakes, which they hope will help their members increase their sales, Home Furnishings Business reports.

The National Home Furnishings Association and the Western Home Furnishings Association have partnered with R&A Marketing to create material for Facebook that will promote their contest for getting an expenses paid trip to the 2012 Home Furnishing Industry Conference. The Facebook page will include participants' responses to questions such as "How do you gain the edge?" and "What's your California Dream?" according to the source.

The sweepstakes theme is "California Dreamin' - Gaining the Edge," and the conference aims to educate attendees on how to optimize product pricing, increase competitiveness and other tactics for improving business.

"Social media, and especially Facebook, has become such a vital part of successful marketing programs, that it just made sense to use the power of Facebook for the HFIC contest," Kevin Doran, vice president of R&A Marketing, told the news source.

Other Ohio marketing companies are being tapped by big organizations to assist in their advertising and promotional efforts. Cleaning machine company Oreck recently announced it would be using direct digital marketing solution provider Knotice to send out more effective and targeted email messages.
